The Lekki Scrabble Club is a community of passionate scrabble players who share a love for this wonderful game. The club's roots trace back to July 2010 when scrabble enthusiasts in the Lekki area of Lagos began coming together to play games during weekends and any free time they could find. In July 2010, the club was officially established and inaugurated by the Nigeria Scrabble Federation, with Tokunbo Ehiribe serving as its first club Captain.
The Lekki Scrabble Club was incorporated by the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) in 2022 during the tenure of Ebikeme Adowei as Captain. The club is entrusted to three nominated trustees, namely, Mr. Ebikeme Adowei, Ademola Kuye, and Hussain Yakubu.
From its humble beginnings with only four members, the Lekki Scrabble Club has grown steadily and now boasts a community of 17 bona fide members, with players hailing from various parts of the world.
As of April 2023, Mr. Samuel Anikoh serves as the club's Captain, having taken over the reins of leadership.
